Mt Homer Rd, Tavares, Florida 32778

Approximately 20 acres right on the corner of US 441 and Mt Homer Rd in Tavares, with 245 feet of frontage on 441 and 1, 343 feet on Mt Homer. The property is annexed into the City of Tavares, zoned RMF-3, and has an approved conceptual plan for a 300 unit multifamily community with parking and green space. That gives a developer a real head start on the entitlement process. The location is hard to beat. The site is minutes from AdventHealth Waterman hospital, and its corner position on US 441 puts it on the main corridor between Tavares, Mount Dora, Eustis and Leesburg, with plenty of visibility. Shopping, dining and downtown Tavares are all close by. If multifamily isn’t the plan, the property could be rezoned for another use, subject to City of Tavares approval. Water and sewer are not currently on site, so buyers should verify utility availability and extension costs with the city. Buyers are also encouraged to confirm zoning, entitlements and permitted uses with the City of Tavares.
